“Discover How to Gain 27 Pounds of Rock-Hard Muscle in 12 Weeks… Without Long Workouts, Dangerous Steroids or High Priced Supplements”

“Raw and uncut. That is how Jay Ferruggia brings it. If you’re looking for another ‘3 sets of 10, eat chicken breasts and yams, how-to-be-a-fitness-model’ program, then forget about getting it from Jay. From his politically-incorrect no-BS eating program, to his workout routines that he’s used with hundreds of athletes, powerlifters, and strongmen, Ferruggia truly is relentless when it comes to putting together the ultimate muscle building program. And I’m no armchair quarterback when it comes to Jay’s workout advice. Jay is the coach that finally got me to smarten up and train right. As a result, I’m stronger, less tired, less beat up between workouts, and my workouts are of the highest quality. This is the only muscle-building program out there that will give you the results you’ve been after forever, while making you laugh, and firing you up like never before, all at once. Get it, or get left behind again, just like you were last year.”

Posted by muscled1 on 20th April 2008

ScienceDaily (May 9, 2007) — A research team led by Carole Thivierge, from Université Laval’s Institute of Nutraceutics and Functional Foods, shows that omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil have a positive effect on the metabolism of muscle proteins. This finding, published in a recent edition of the Journal of Physiology, could have significant implications in the fields of animal farming as well as human health.

Your Post Workout Meal is the Most Important Meal of the Day!

Posted by muscled1 on 7th April 2008

I am sure you have heard previously that your post-workout meal is actually the most important meal of your day (aside from breakfast of course).

I would have to agree with that assertion for the most part because refueling your body with the right combo of nutrients is so vastly important to repairing your muscles from the breakdown of a workout, and keeping your metabolic rate sky high.

Here’s some recent research on post-workout meals:

Can Ibuprofen Or Acetaminophen Increase Muscle Mass?

Posted by muscled1 on 7th April 2008

Taking daily recommended dosages of ibuprofen and acetaminophen caused a substantially greater increase over placebo in the amount of quadriceps muscle mass and muscle strength gained during three months of regular weight lifting, in a study by physiologists at the Human Performance Laboratory, Ball State University.

Dr. Chad Carroll, a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Todd Trappe, reported study results at Experimental Biology 2008 in San Diego on April 6. His presentation was part of the scientific program of the American Physiological Society (APS).

Fitness Tip

Posted by muscled1 on 6th April 2008

Fitness Tip: Flax Seed Fitness - A great way to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system is by adding flaxseed to your healthy meal plan. Flaxseed contains what is called alpha-linolenic acid, which is a fatty acid essential in controlling blood pressure. They have a benefit of helping with digestion; just make sure the flaxseed is crushed for easier consumption and absorption.

Does More Time In The Gym Yield More Bodybuilding Gains?

Posted by muscled1 on 5th April 2008

I want to compete one day so I want to get really big as quickly as possible. Should I train twice a day for 2-1/2 hours at a time for faster bodybuilding gains? I hear that is how the guys back in the 70’s used to do it. Please help me.

Q. Does More Time In The Gym Yield More Bodybuilding Gains?

A. Absolutely not. It is a big misconception that the more you train, the more you gain. Back in the 70’s high volume, twice a day training was popular amongst the top level professional bodybuilders. However, these guys were genetically gifted and their nervous systems could take a beating of this magnitude and still recover. And even then, they typically only did this 12 weeks prior to a competition. In addition, due to years of training, each advanced bodybuilder knows how much they can take before overtraining is reached.
